Local Information

Practical information for your stay in Santiago and suggestions for sightseeing

Getting to the venue

Both venues are easily accessible by metro and bus. We recommend using Metro lines 1 and 5 to reach the city center and Campus San Joaquín, and then walking a short distance to the buildings.

Accommodation

There are many hotels and apartments in the city center and in the areas of Providencia and Ñuñoa. We suggest booking early, as September is a busy month in Santiago.

Tourist Highlights

Popular places to visit include Cerro San Cristóbal, Cerro Santa Lucía, the historic city center, and the nearby wine valleys. Day trips to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar are also possible.

Climate and Safety

Early September corresponds to late winter/early spring in Santiago, with cool mornings and mild afternoons. We recommend being cautious with personal belongings in crowded areas.
